CAPPADOCIA. Caesaraea-Eusebia. Vespasian, 69-79. AE (Bronze, 25 mm, 11.15 g, 12 h). [ΑΥΤΟΚΡ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ϹЄΒΑϹ ΟΥЄϹΠΑϹΙΑΝΟϹ] Laureate head of Vespasian to right; on neck, countermark: L XII in rectangular punch. Rev. [ЄΠΙ Μ ΝЄΡΑ ΠΑΝϹΑ ΠΡЄϹΒ / ЄΤ Ι] Mount Argaios surmounted by statue of Sol-Helios (?), radiate, holding globe in his right hand and long scepter in his left. Cf. RPC II 1674 ff. (differing legends). For countermark, Howgego 737. Thick deposits, otherwise, fair.
